The Centre Manager helps look after the event base and keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll support with opening and closing the centre, organising rooms, helping with parking arrangements, keeping the building tidy and stocked, and making sure key venue information is shared with the event team.
During the event, you’ll work closely with the Event Lead, Event Control, Staff Catering Lead and other volunteers to help the centre feel organised, welcoming and ready for whatever the event throws at it.
A great role for someone who is practical, organised, approachable and happy to be the steady pair of hands at the heart of the event.
Key Tasks:
- Be present for the duration of the event.
- Be responsible for opening and closing the Centre – first to arrive and last to leave.
- Relay key information from the venue to the Event – e.g. fire evacuation procedures.
- Replenish consumables and maintain the Centre throughout the event.
- Co-ordinating people to meet the requirements of the rental agreement – e.g. cleaning at the end of the event.
- Co-ordinate refreshments for participants at the end of the event.
- Support Admin Team with choosing and booking suitable Centres.
- Allocate adult rooms.
- Co-ordinate a Car Parking Team.
- Co-ordinate supervision of young people at the Centre.
- Work with Staff Catering Lead.
- Any other Centre related tasks.
Requirements:
- Full member with up-to-date mandatory learning
This is role is for a single position within the fells-marathon team and will be reviewed yearly.
